Extractions

At our office we do our best to save the teeth you have, but sometimes a tooth may need to be extracted. This can be for any number of reasons. If your tooth cannot be saved, the doctor will first anesthetize the tooth, and then you will only be able to feel the pushing and pressure as he uses various tools to loosen and then remove the tooth. Sometimes if a tooth is more difficult to remove he may have to also remove any impeding bone, or section the tooth, and take it out in several pieces. This is more common with molars because they have multiple roots. Despite this occasional complication, the result offers long-term relief and increased dental health.
